Between Rangga Wardhana and Eko Ramaditya

July 8, 2008 · 3 Comments

I read some recent news about blogger from Indonesia and looks like focus of discussion is a blogger named rangga wardhana who had published ‘stolen’ active credit card records in his blog. You can read the story here, with some opinion about the topics. My reaction is not different from them. Right now, I am planning to get a credit card and this news, although will not affect anything, was made me doubt for a while. A sad new from Indonesian blogger world.

Another name, this time is a good people: Eko Ramaditya. I read his profile and life story in Kompas Newspaper today. very rarely we see a blind person blogger. His story is an inspiration for other people especially blogger all over the world. Watching his blog www.ramaditya.com makes me feel inspired, WOW! In my opinion, Eko Ramaditya is one of few people who can make the world better for himself and (whether he knows or not) for other people. Just check out his site and you’ll find out.

I think web 2.0 and the blogosphere has opened up lots of opportunities for people to interact with each other, and it has also unlocked other opportunities, including the usage of blogs to help others or to organize charitable actions.

I do believe that what we need at the moment is actually shared responsibilities from all bloggers and web communities to protect the ‘world’ they are in. Which, I think, have been started by several prominent Indonesian bloggers.

    Keep blogging!
