Between the new inventor, blue energy, publicity and media
Another news from Indonesia, a man is claiming that he invent a new technology that will transform water into hydrogen fuel energy. Joko Suprapto was invited by president SBY to attend Hari Kebangkitan Nasional ceremony in Jakarta, but he didn’t come because he said that he was sick. People say this mysterious man who owns a FM radio channel, has already bought some lands to make factory to produce the transforming engine. Some people believe that this person is just looking for a sensation in media.
I say this man is just a fraud. Or perhaps if it is true that he has the capability to produce blue energy, which I doubt about it, than he is too greedy to keep the information himself and gambling to make profit out of it, at the same time he is far too confidence boasting his hoax to the media. Lack of media as a place for a person with brilliant invention and lack of information on how people can develop his invention and surety that their intellectual property right will be protected makes people with brilliant idea do not know where they must go to introduce their invention.
In Aussie, there is a show titled The New Inventors on ABC1 where people who have brilliant invention is challenged to exhibit their invention, competing with other inventors, where the panellist and people all over the country can vote for the best or the favourite invention. During the presentation, the inventor must describe what their invention, how it is work, also the visibility and feasibility of the exhibit to be used for the benefit of the people. Therefore, no basting, no soapy talk on something that is not clear. It’s all transparent and people can see what is going on.
If there is a similar way to introduce someone’s invention in Indonesia, nobody will buy Joko’s hoax.
